Our Evening Walks

Daniel and I have always enjoyed going on walks together. We used to walk around the lake in Gothenburg. Then when he went to Omaha we would take walks around downtown by the river. After we got married we would walk around our neighborhood.
Then we had kids and we still enjoy our walks although they are not quite as relaxing as they used to be when we could discuss our day and our future. Now it is more of a workout but still enjoyable, and pretty much we get to listen to the kids instead of each other.
We got Eva her bike for her birthday and right away I thought we had made a big mistake. The bike made our evening walks very rough. I guess it is true though that practice makes perfect, because after a couple of months we are back to taking the bikes on our evening walks and it is even pretty enjoyable!
It is the best when we take the kid's bikes and go to Mahoney park, like we did here:
Blake doesn't pedal, he just pushes with his legs, but he can keep up pretty well.
At least until we start going up a small incline, then he refuses to go any longer, and we end up carrying the bike.
Eva decided to pose under a tree while we waited for Blake and Daddy.

Once Blake catches up, he is ready to go again....the race is on!

Daniel and I have a quick moment of a peaceful walk, just like it used to be!

Then it is back to reality. Blake decided it was better to push Eva then to race her.

Another break for a photo op!

Then we are off again, before it gets too dark!
